2019
The First Unsteady Steps
In 2019, Book Nook — then known as Polywoods — began with just three engineers and architects. We designed products, built our workshop, and learned to sell at the same time. Through constant testing, failed designs, and countless refinements, each product became a careful balance of craftsmanship, material quality, and building experience.

2020
Paused by Covid
In 2020, after dozens of failed products, Covid brought everything to a halt. The “company” was reduced to one person. Yet during this quiet period, the right direction began to emerge. Our first twenty orders arrived unexpectedly. By the end of the year, we restarted — with two people, a 9m² workshop, constant machine noise, and barely enough space to pass each other.
2021

In 2021, although our products were far from perfect — the assembly experience wasn’t fully refined, and the aesthetics weren’t yet as “wow” as they are today — Book Nook received an incredible amount of support from customers. Many shared thoughtful feedback, ideas, and suggestions that helped us improve.
At the time:
- Packaging was just a plain cardboard box, with parts rattling loosely inside.
- Most joints relied on glue to stay secure.
- Customers had to paint the models themselves.
- Wiring felt like a puzzle — connect one wire wrong and the lights wouldn’t turn on.
2022
When Passion Met Opportunity
In 2022, years of refining every detail led to a major turning point. We found our first international distributors and became a strategic design and manufacturing partner for a global brand. From a small workshop, our wooden models crossed borders and reached over 20 countries — each piece turning wood into stories, and passion into a lasting journey.
2023
Building a Strong Manufacturing Foundation
In 2023, growing demand pushed us to strengthen our production capabilities. We built and launched a new facility capable of producing 300 units per day. More than scaling up, this was a strategic step toward industrial-level processes — while preserving the care, craftsmanship, and human touch behind every product.
2024 - 2025
Standardizing for Long-Term Quality
From 2024 onward, we entered a new phase of professionalization. We strengthened our operations, refined internal processes, and implemented a quality management system aligned with ISO 9001:2015. Our goal goes beyond certification — it’s about building a culture of quality across design, production, and customer care, ensuring consistency and trust as we grow globally.
