Heartbrook was born from our imagination after countless films and novels about medieval Europe — stone towns, sloped rooftops, and quiet villages shaped by time. We spent about five months designing this model, focusing intensely on detail, especially the layered rooftops that define its character.
The moving water wheel is intentionally simple; it wasn’t meant to impress with complexity, but to bring gentle life to the scene. True to our design philosophy, every single house is crafted as a standalone work of art — detailed enough to exist on its own, yet even more powerful as part of the whole.

I was hesitant at first ordering all the way from oversea, but it arrived in the US surprisingly fast! The assembled village looks so grand and authentic. 10/10!

The level of detail on this medieval village set is simply astonishing! The tiny watermill, cobblestone tavern, and glowing lanterns create such an immersive rustic scene on my bookshelf. Absolutely mesmerized by the final result!
The book nook is well made, the small details are what made this special. It had so many layers that it came out looking very cool.
My only complaint is the water wheel is noisy, I lubricated it with 3 in 1 oil and cushioned it with foam, but it's still fairly loud. The lights are very bright and you can see them through the windows, so I used some mother of pearl I had on hand and put them over the lights to soften them a bit.
The instructions were fairly easy to understand, it's in Vietnamese, so I used my google translate app to figure out what was needed. A few times it didn't specify whether or not a piece needed to be glued, but I figured it out.

The overall kit is very interesting.... The design features many interesting techniques. The materials used are good but could be improved by using sturdier materials such as MDF rather than birch. I also wanted to improve the aesthetics, so I replaced the mechanical switches with touch switches and converted the power to USB and eliminated the battery packs.
This Nook was amazing and very well made, best quality and looks gorgeous after it's together! Didn't get the instructions in English but I made do. Perfect for my collection!

There was a slight problem with the plastic sheet, which seemed to be printed upside down, but it turned out to be just a mistake; they responded to the email quite quickly.

easy to compleat
Very nice kit. Parts separated from the boards and went together well. Very little gluing needed beyond printed directions. Looks great! Only negative is that the water wheel motion is not smooth and is choppy.
De onderdelen voor de watermolen motor pasen niet goed bij elkaar
It is such a fun project! However the motor for the wheel burnt out, the water was on backwards and upside down, and a piece broke when I was popping it out of the stencil. I mean to only display it, so the motor burning out wasn't a big deal, I grabbed my paints and painted the water on, and I was able to still use the broken piece. The only one upset that the wheel wouldn't turn was my seven year old daughter.

Very nice kid to build not too difficult. But instructions could use improvement need to show exact details in the pictures and clarify what side faces out or in. Also I have to keep trying to modify the water wheel. Cause it doesn't run smoothly, doesn't catch the gears properly because there is too much play in the connection. But all in all a nice build
